Julie Rhoton

Julie Rhoton: Artistic Director
Julie has been teaching dance for over two decades. Dancers that Julie has trained have worked in videos, commercials, theatre, film, television, have become professional choreographers and more than a few have opened their own dance studios. In addition to her teaching, Julie travels throughout the country as an adjudicator for dance competitions. With a passion for discovering what is unique about each dancer, Julie’s favorite days are the days spent at SCPA.

Rachel Scott

Rachel Scott: Ballet Program Director
Rachel Scott received her initial dance training at Southland Ballet Company where she studied the Vagonova method under the artistic direction of Salwa Rizkalla. During her adolescent years, she performed in full length ballets and later became a soloist with Festival Ballet Theater where she danced alongside renowned professionals such as ABT's Julie Kent. Rachel continued her dance training on a full scholarship at DeFore Dance Center, and shortly after completing her scholarship, was asked to join their Faculty as a ballet instructor. Rachel accepted, and since then, has been teaching ballet, pointe, and jazz alike for over ten years. Rachel was also one of the original members of Mike Esperanza's BARE Dance Company, and she has performed professionally in musical theatre for several years. She now teaches dance full time, and considers herself beyond blessed to share her passions with the students of South Coast Performing Arts.

Tiffany Schwanz: Jazz, Conditioning

Tiffany Reid trained largely with Ballet Pacifica and attended summer programs with Boston Ballet, ABT-Detroit/Austen, Atlanta Ballet and Kaatsbaan extreme ballet. She has performed numerous ballets with Colorado Ballet, Ballet Pacifica, Los Angeles Ballet and Les Grandes Ballets de Canadiens de Montreal before switching to theater. Since moving into theater she has performed frequently with Regional companies including; Musical Theater West, MCcoy Rigby, 3D-Theatricals, Moonlight Amphitheater, Candlelight Pavilion, Performance Riverside, Fullerton Civic Light Opera, Civic Light Opera of the South Bay Cities and Center Stage Fontana. Favorite roles/shows include: Victoria CATS, Helene SWEET CHARITY, Maggie BRIGADOON , Belladova PHANTOM, Usherette/Heil Lo PRODUCERS. She is also a certified Pilates Trainer.

Ashley Parker

Ashley Parker’s training began with Irvine School of Dance at the age of 9. She then joined Ballet Pacifica where she furthered her technique in classical Ballet until the age 17. While studying with Ballet Pacifica, she attended several Summer Intensive programs, such as, School of American Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, and Miami City Ballet. After graduating High School, Ashley moved to New York City to join Joffrey Ballet’s year-round trainee program for 2 years. She has performed in several ballets including The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Giselle and Mid Summer Night’s Dream.
There is a $25 per family registration fee. After enrolling in class, you will receive an invoice for the registration fee and 1st month's tuition. Both must be paid within 10 days of enrollment to keep the dancer's position in that class. Payments can be made online, over the phone or at the studio.
