Gracia was born and raised in Mexico and moved to the US in October 2000. Since a young age, she was passionate about dancing. She grew up learning traditional Mexican dances (Ballet Folklórico), Hawaiian, Tahitian and classical ballet. Along with dance she enjoyed participating in theater arts.
Gracia became a licensed Zumba instructor in the summer of 2008. Latin dance was just a natural fit, and it has been one of her passions.
Since 2014, Gracia has participated with other talented Zumba instructors leading warmups for the OC and LA Autism Speaks Organization, and Children's Blind Learning Center.
When she isn't dancing, Gracia works as a Special Education Aide and spends the rest of her time taking care of her family and two pets, listening to music (lots of music!) and working out.
Dancing can instantly boost your happiness, it generates positive vibes, brings people together and creates community. Gracia is a firm believer and promoter of these in her personal life and found in Zumba an enjoyable way to stay fit, express herself and help others.
