Chantal Ricci

Chantal has been dancing ever since she learned to walk! In 2007 she earned her B.A in Dance and B.S. in Business Administration from Chapman University. At Chapman, Chantal studied, trained and performed with a diverse and accomplished faculty  In addition to training extensively with renown faculty at studios throughout Orange County, Chantal has studied at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, Ballet Pacifica Conservatory and American Ballet Theatre’s Summer Intensive program.

While growing up, Chantal was awarded many titles at various regional and national competitions. One of her most memorable early performances was dancing in the children’s cast of the Joffrey Ballet’s Nutcracker at the OCPAC. Chantal has also enjoyed dance roles in the Crystal Cathedral’s The Glory of Christmas and in Disneyland parades. For the past seven years she has been choreographing and teaching ballet, pointe, lyrical and jazz in local studios and for High School song teams. She is grateful for the privilege to share her knowledge and love of dance with her community through teaching.

Emma Wysocki

Emma has been dancing for seventeen years and has trained in various styles such as ballet, contemporary, modern, and jazz. She trained with Metropolitan ballet company from ages four-eighteen. There she performed in annual shows such as the Nutcracker dancing clara and the sugar plum fairy, as well as Kitri in Don Quixote. Emma began teaching ballet at the age of sixteen which is when she discovered her love for choreography. She then began choreographing various ballet and modern pieces, for groups as well as soloists. She has a passion to watch young dancers grow into their own strength, and develop as artists. She has been teaching at Dance West for six years, and Elevations studios for three years. She graduated from CCBC with her degree in Biblical Studies, and hopes to continue to grow as a teacher and choreographer.

Rachel Scott

Rachel Scott: Ballet Program Director
Rachel Scott received her initial dance training at Southland Ballet Company where she studied the Vagonova method under the artistic direction of Salwa Rizkalla. During her adolescent years, she performed in full length ballets and later became a soloist with Festival Ballet Theater where she danced alongside renowned professionals such as ABT's Julie Kent. Rachel continued her dance training on a full scholarship at DeFore Dance Center, and shortly after completing her scholarship, was asked to join their Faculty as a ballet instructor. Rachel accepted, and since then, has been teaching ballet, pointe, and jazz alike for over ten years. Rachel was also one of the original members of Mike Esperanza's BARE Dance Company, and she has performed professionally in musical theatre for several years. She now teaches dance full time, and considers herself beyond blessed to share her passions with the students of South Coast Performing Arts.
