Vicki has been involved with dance for nearly thirty years. South Coast Performing Arts has been in business for over thirteen years. With the move to our beautiful new 7000 sq. ft. location, Vicki is the sole Owner and Director of South Coast Performing Arts. Creating an environment where young people can practice positive values, develop community together AND in the process have the opportunity to become extraordinary dancers, singers and actors, is Vicki’s purpose for South Coast Performing Arts.
Julie Rhoton: Artistic Director
Julie has been teaching dance for over two decades. Dancers that Julie has trained have worked in videos, commercials, theatre, film, television, have become professional choreographers and more than a few have opened their own dance studios. In addition to her teaching, Julie travels throughout the country as an adjudicator for dance competitions. With a passion for discovering what is unique about each dancer, Julie’s favorite days are the days spent at SCPA.

Talia Serra: Company Director
Dancing since the age of three, Talia has trained throughout the Southland with such notable instructors as Monie Andomson, Desiree Robbins and our very own Julie Rhoton. Having a wide experience in various dance styles as a performer and instructor has benefited Talia in being an important part of the University of Fullerton’s dance team, being a National Championship team while she was in attendance. Talia holds a Bachelor of Arts in Dance from the California State University, Fullerton and was inspired to have worked with Mike Esperanza, a notable choreographer. As Company Director of SCPA there is much excitement for developing a venue for dancers to be extraordinary. Talia’s enthusiasm for dance is fueled by both her student’s endless energy and willingness to step out of their comfort zone and by her sister, Stacey, with whom much gratitude is bestow upon for being a light to be guided by.
Stacey Serra: Business Manager
Stacey started dancing at the age of 10; it has been a significant part of her life ever since. Her background in dance includes being captain of the UC Davis dance team as well as their Administrative Assistant. Through those roles, Stacey earned experience in Marketing & Promotions, Creating Databases, Development and Organization of events. Stacey has a B.A. in Psychology and Sociology from the University of California, Davis. Over the past several years, Stacey has continued to learn about business and life through one of her passions, travel. While volunteering for a program in New Zealand, she had the opportunity to help recruit new volunteers and began learning website design and internet marketing. Even though she is always looking for new challenges and adventures,Stacey finds comfort in knowing that her SCPA Family is always waiting for her return.
Jessica Parr: Company Co-Director
With over 12 years experience as an independent dance instructor and choreographer, Jessica's choreography in jazz, lyrical, ballet, pointe and tap have won numerous local, regional and national awards. Dancers, who were trained by Jessica, have worked in music videos, theatre, television, motion pictures, have been accepted into impressive dance companies and have become dance instructors and choreographers themselves. Her experience includes teaching at studios throughout Orange and Los Angeles counties in California from 2000-2006 then in Gaston and Mecklenburg counties in North and South Carolina from January 2008-April 2012. After which, she returned to California and started working with South Coast in Spring of 2012. Additional experience includes High School dance choreographer in Pacifica Dance Program from 1997-2000. Jessica is a well-rounded and gifted dance instructor who desires to share her talents by influencing others thru teaching. Jessica believes in motivating and educating students of all levels and from all walks of life. She helps them to feel confident about their bodies, skills and talent, while building self-esteem, confidence, and discipline to reach dreams.
Taylor Provence: Performing Group Co-Director
Former student and amazingly sweet Taylor helps out in so many ways. She is behind our wonderful feature Fridays on FB and helps to organize our PG dancers. She is such an asset to our SCPA faculty.
Rachel Scott: Ballet Program Director
Rachel Scott received her initial dance training at Southland Ballet Company where she studied the Vagonova method under the artistic direction of Salwa Rizkalla. During her adolescent years, she performed in full length ballets and later became a soloist with Festival Ballet Theater where she danced alongside renowned professionals such as ABT's Julie Kent. Rachel continued her dance training on a full scholarship at DeFore Dance Center, and shortly after completing her scholarship, was asked to join their Faculty as a ballet instructor. Rachel accepted, and since then, has been teaching ballet, pointe, and jazz alike for over ten years. Rachel was also one of the original members of Mike Esperanza's BARE Dance Company, and she has performed professionally in musical theatre for several years. She now teaches dance full time, and considers herself beyond blessed to share her passions with the students of South Coast Performing Arts.
Valerie has been dancing since age 2 with ballet, tap and jazz through the city of Westminster. At 8 years old, she decided she wanted to be just like Shirley Temple and begged her parents to put her into more training. She then began extensive training with many different instructors in tap, ballet, lyrical, jazz, hip hop, hula and polynesian. She has performed in many recitals for her studio, special events for her city, and at the O.C. Fair every summer. When she was 12, she became an assistant teacher for her studio. She has been teaching and choreographing beginning and intermediate classes since she was only 15. She is currently performing in Luau's and competitions with Hula O' Napualani as well as dancing with Beth Eisleben's Bethel Ballet Company, bringing hope and joy to nursing homes through ballet. She is also teaching hula and ballet at birthday parties and sharing her passion and love for dance as a teacher and choreographer at South Coast Performing Arts.
J. Caley-Ryan Carr is represented by "Go 2 Talent Agency" in LA. Has been a tap and hip hop instructor for over 9 years and has taught at The Edge Performing Arts Center in Los Angeles, Body Language in Costa Rica, and Jimmy Defore in Orange County, just to name a few. He grew up studying with Linda Sohl-Ellison at Orange Coast College for roughly six years and was an active member of her international touring company “Rhapsody in Taps.” You may have seen him on the beach in Huntington Beach or maybe you just caught him on Season 9 of “So You Think You Can Dance” as a featured dancer. Caley has been a member of Gregg Russell's “Taps Sounds Under Ground,” directed by Greg Russell for two years and has performed numours shows with them. For the past couple years he has formed a dynamic duo with his amazing dance partner Kelsey McCowan and together have taken to the mentorship underneath the amazing Dominque Kelley. ” This past October he released his very first tap production video with his partner. Brittany "Bitty" Hammond has been teaching dance, voice, and theatre since 2005. She has taught all over Southern California and New York City and has been a part of the South Coast Family since 2008. Aside from the competition stage, her choreography can be seen at high school and college campuses as well as fundraising galas, community theaters, and church events. When she's not in the studio, Bitty's other job is a professional actress/dancer and she's performed in Japan, Canada, St. Louis, Florida, New York, Sacramento, San Diego, and right here in Orange County. She has also been spotted in a few commercials, movies, and music videos. More information can be found at www.BrittanyRoseHammond.com. Lindsey first began dancing when she was six years old and hasn't stopped since.  She trained at Irvine Dance Academy in Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap, and Lyrical.  She devoted her life to dance and competed with both her studio as well as with her high school dance team when she was younger.  In high school, she was awarded several solo titles including Miss USA National, Miss Dance Drill Team California and 4th Runner up to Miss Dance Drill Team United States.
 
After high school, Lindsey attended UCLA where she earned her BFA in Art History and her Masters in Education.  While in college, Lindsey danced professionally in Los Angeles as a member of the UCLA Dance Team. While on the UCLA Dance Team, Lindsey had many opportunities, including choreographing competition routines.  She appeared on Fox Sports Television shows, and was a featured dancer in the Choreographers' Ball in Los Angeles.  While living in LA, Lindsey continued to train at both the Edge PAC and was also on scholarship at the Dance Center, formerly known as Tremaines Studio of Dance.
 
After college Lindsey worked for the United Spirit Association teaching summer dance camps all over California, Utah, Texas and Washington.  Lindsey has choreographed for a variety of schools in the Southern CA area and continues to do so.  Lindsey began coaching within the High School Dance Team arena and her team was awarded 1st place for their "Small Lyrical" dance in the USA Nationals Championship Division.  In addition to teaching dance, Lindsey also judges for CADTD dance competitions.
 
Lindsey is a dance teacher at Dana Hills High School in Dana Point and is working to develop the dance program within the school.  During her first year of teaching she was awarded the "Rookie Dance Team Director of the Year" by the CADTD organization.  Teaching dance is a dream come true for Lindsey and she hopes to instill within her students the same love and passion that she has for the art form of dance.
 
Lindsey is married to her wonderful husband, Aaron and has two beautiful little girls, Camryn and Dani, who I am sure you will see dancing at the studio.
Kelsey has over twenty years dedicated to the art of tap dance and because of this, has become one of Hollywood’s leading celebrity trainers, privately coaching stars such as Bette Midler, Derek Hough, Jeremy Piven, Azealia Banks, and more. She also has worked on many films, most recently doing all of the tap foley/ADR work for Kermit the Frog and Ricky Gervais in the “Muppets Movie”, and Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone in their upcoming movie musical, “La La Land”. She has worked with Seth Macfarlane and the John Wilson Orchestra on numerous occasions, most recently performing at Seth’s Oscar’s party. She and her dance partner, Caley Carr, were hand picked to perform with Michael Feinstein and the Pasadena Pops as a tribute to Broadway. Other credits include working with Fergie, the Disney Channel, Universal Studios Hollywood, industrials for Mac Cosmetics, and more. Her choreography and assistant choreography credits include Derek Hough, The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, Access Hollywood, the 2015 Fashion and Film Awards, Ellen Degeneres and Steve Harvey's hit show "Little Big Shots", and Universal Studios. She also teaches weekly at one of the top leading studios for professional dancers, the Edge Performing Arts Center.
Glenda Morales is best known from Fanny Pak of America's Best Dance Crew. She has also been a dancer on shows such as Glee, The Office, and Mobbed. On Mobbed she worked as an assistant choreographer to NappyTabs in addition to many other jobs over the past few years. Artists she's danced for include Ashley Tisdale and Raven Simone. The opportunity to travel and teach, spreading her joy and love for dance is one of her favorite parts of this career.
Ashley Parker’s training began with Irvine School of Dance at the age of 9. She then joined Ballet Pacifica where she furthered her technique in classical Ballet until the age 17. While studying with Ballet Pacifica, she attended several Summer Intensive programs, such as, School of American Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, and Miami City Ballet. After graduating High School, Ashley moved to New York City to join Joffrey Ballet’s year-round trainee program for 2 years. She has performed in several ballets including The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Giselle and Mid Summer Night’s Dream.
Gina comes to us with over twenty five years of teaching experience. A graduate of University of California, Irvine with a degree in dance, Gina has taught ballet, jazz, tap, modern, creative movement, and cotillion in studios and schools throughout central and Southern California. When she isn't in the studio she can be found at elementary schools with The Wooden Floor, and in hospitals teaching dance for Parkinson's disease, and Discovery Arts, bringing the arts to hospitalized children. She also teaches at UCP in their recreation department, and spends her evenings performing at Disneyland. Gina is grateful for her many opportunities to share the joy of dance!

We are a family run dance studio in Tustin, CA. Our studio offers classes in Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap & Ballet for dancers age 2-18. Our studio features 5 dance rooms, a lobby, children's play corner, kitchen, and a dancers' lounge.
